"Animals are the best way to secretly educate children. Those saps never even realize that the tidbits of information they learned about adorable Pandas are actually real live facts! Animals also serve as a great way to sneak education into video games. Torus Games has combined the natural appeal of animals, and the popularity of doctor games to make Zoo Hospital. Of course kids will quickly catch on when they realize the game has barely any game at all, and all that's left is a digital zoo map."

"Veterinarians have an understandably difficult job -- their patients can't tell them what's wrong. In Zoo Hospital, you use diagnostic tools like x-rays and microscopes to discover what ails your sickly animals. Then you treat them using ointments, injections, and surgery. It's a bit like the DS human surgery game Trauma Center, only with more claws and teeth.
Don't worry; the animals are all fairly tame. They can get a bit agitated if you're not careful with them during the inspection though, and then you will have to soothe them using the stylus and touch screen (and there's no other game that lets you "pet" a hippo, panda, or reticulated python on your DS...that we know of)."

"What do you get when you combine touch screen controlled surgery, adorable wild animals, and education (gasp!)? Probably something like Zoo Hospital, the new veterinary sim from Majesco. We got our paws on a copy of the game and got to try our hand at curing some animal ailments."
