Balls of Fury review at IGN.

"I suppose when you're a game publisher without the deep pockets of an Electronic Arts or an Activision, you tend to go after the licenses that are a little more affordable. Balls of Fury? Not exactly a franchise that'd set off a bidding war at the big boy publishers. Destination Software snagged it, and admittedly there's enough going on in the film for a quality game design team to make a decent ping pong game. And believe it or not, Balls of Fury on the Nintendo DS didn't turn out all that bad: it's a sharp, challenging game of table tennis. Its problem, however, is two-fold: it's a straightforward design that lacks in variety, and it takes itself far too seriously."

Balls of Fury review at GameAlmighty.

"Nowadays, it seems every other movie that releases in theaters has the bright idea of turning it into a game. Let’s face it, movie-to-games pretty much…well, sucks. This is my take anyway. Maybe it’s because I had no expectations for this game but Balls of Fury for DS was surprisingly entertaining. Sure, the graphics are pixilated, and the music is irritating, but the actual ping pong action was sorta fun. Using the stylus, you can control the speed at which you hit the balls, and charge up to turn them into furious fiery orbs to blast at your opponent."

Balls of Fury review at Gamespot.

"Whether or not you enjoyed the recent motion picture, the video game rendition of Balls of Fury for the Nintendo DS is actually quite agreeable. The movie's goofy characters and lame story are merely window dressing for a table tennis game that's easy to pick up and quite a bit of fun."

Balls of Fury review at Gamer's Temple.

"While there is no shortage of bad, glitch-filled games on the market, only a few games are so bad that they are actually remembered and discussed based on their ability to suck. Superman 64 (N64), E.T. (Atari 2600), Night Trap (Sega CD), Elf Bowling (DS) and Drake of the 99 Dragons (Xbox) all fall into this category. Every gamer likes a game or two that most others hate, but the games I've listed here have literally no fans whatsoever (except for Night Trap…wasn't TV's Dana Plato topless in that one?). As long as there are video games coming out, there will always be new entries into this dubious club. The DS version of Balls of Fury, based on the movie of the same name, has just gotten its membership card."
