Yosumin preview at 1up.
"A grid full of colorful shapes with facial expressions; at first glance, Yosumin DS looks like a cute-ified Puzzle League or Puzzle Quest. But Square Enix's color-matching game doesn't have you obsessively lining up your yellows, blues and reds. You take colors into account, but rather than creating rows or columns by moving the differently shaped tiles around, you drag your stylus to select a rectangle full of them. The only stipulation is that all four corners match. This is trickier than it sounds, as the rectangle can be as large as the entire screen or as small as four tiles. Compound that with the meter on the right that empties whenever you take too long between matches and you can quickly find yourself scrambling."

Yosumin preview at IGN.
"Square Enix -- a Japanese videogame giant known for grandiose RPGs, built from two companies with long, rich RPG traditions. Imagine our surprise while strolling through the Square Enix booth at TGS and we came upon the quirky and fun puzzle game, Yosumin. To be honest, after fumbling through endless menus of Japanese text in the company's many RPGs on hand, it was quite refreshing to be able to pick up a game and grasp virtually everything it had to offer within moments."
