Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Starry Sky preview at IGN.
"At Square Enix's TGS booth today we got to play two RPG remakes with the Roman numeral "IV" in the title: Final Fantasy IV and Dragon Quest IV. The latter was released in the U.S. as Dragon Warrior IV on the NES in 1992. After an extreme makeover, DQIV is now rendered in snazzy 3D.
The game opens with sword slashes cutting through darkness. Lights up on our hero, lying on the floor of a dungeon with some creepy guy with a sword staring over us. After a brief dialogue the guy runs up some stairs, leaving us alone to smash some pots stacked in a corner and take their loot. The environment can be rotated 360 degrees with the L and R buttons -- bet your NES can't do that! The playing field is spread across both screens of the DS, much to the delight of those of us who wanted to see more of this in FFIII DS."
