"We've just had our first hands-on with Arkanoid DS, and after all the brick-breaking Arkanoid clones we've played, it's nice to finally get our mitts on the real thing.

In addition to classic play style we've come to expect, Arkanoid DS is designed to work with Taito's new paddle controller, which can be purchased with the game (currently bundled with the white DS only) or separately in a variety of colors. Though the paddle we tried was a little stiff, it was the closest approximation of the arcade experience we've seen yet. Strangely enough, though, the game seems easier to play with the touch screen, since the paddle zips to wherever you touch without having to close the space in between."
