Heroes of Mana review at Ars Technica.
"If there's any one genre I never envisioned Square-Enix tackling, it was the real-time strategy genre—especially in the of Mana universe. The franchise has maintained its popularity by sticking close to the original's roots: fast-paced, action-based questing in the name of the Tree of Mana. Now, the final game of the "World of Mana" revisit—which encompasses the somewhat bland Children of Mana and the enjoyable Dawn of Mana, as well as a manga—is perhaps the most unprecedented, and ends up being the best of the lot."
