"We really liked the characters, dialogue, and overall personality of the original Touch Detective...but its gameplay was occasionally irritating. Atlus promises two improvements with this sequel. First, reviewer complaints about the original game's occasional descent into pixel-hunt hell were heard and respected; puzzle solutions and key items should be much less obtuse this time around. Perhaps even enjoyable! And secondly, while the game is still broken into individual chapters, this new Detective should give players a much greater sense of cohesion -- each case Mackenzie investigates will tie into a larger plot featuring an actual supervillain."
