"There are some things the gamers come to expect every year – a new Tony Hawk game, trickling announcements about the next big system with a funny code name, and a Mega Man installment.

But just because the series has been doing in essence the same thing for the past 20 years – go back and play the old, old original games on the NES and Game Boy, and it’s easy to notice that besides new moves, gameplay hasn’t changed at all – doesn’t mean that it’s bad. If anything, that obviously means that it’s doing something right, because every new game sells well enough."
